In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Priyank Panchal revealed that he decided to retire from first-class cricket long ago:
“Yes! For a long time, the decision to retire was in my mind. Just because I started playing cricket, there was some kind of force added with the discipline and dedication that motivated me to play for India.
After a certain period, I had to be practical. I didn’t think it was possible for me. Although I tried my level best by playing for the Ranji Trophy and India A, I felt this was the perfect moment. Now, I realized that there is no point in hoping anything to happen in the future,” Panchal said.
