IPL 2026: MI’s Santner Bows Out Injured for Keshav Maharaj

Mumbai Indians (MI) bowling all-rounder Mitchell Santner is out injured after a mishap before the team’s schedule game on April 29, 2026. Santner will be out of action for several weeks due to this injury and will be replaced by South Africa international Keshav Maharaj.

Keshav’s Introduction Makes No Difference as MI Slip, Again

The MI IPL 2026 season could not have been imagined worse than it is at the moment. MI skipper Hardik Pandya has failed to make the difference yet again as his side lost to an organised Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) outfit.

SRH’s Heinrich Klaasen delivered an impressive half-century (65) from 30 balls to super-charge the franchise’s move towards heaping another defeat on MI.

Fans expected the news of Maharaj’s signing to deliver a welcome boost to players, but that was not to be. MI suffered their sixth defeat this season out of 8 games played.

Mitchell Santner Last 10 Matches

Santner had a decent bowling run by IPL standards in his last 4 franchise games in 2026. The star bowling all-rounder bagged 5 wickets so far this season against some of IPL cricket’s most-ferocious hitters.

Keshav Maharaj Last 10 Matches

Maharaj endured few dry spells earlier in the year before securing 7 wickets in his last 5 T20Is. The bowling all-rounder packs an impressive skillset MI could rely on to ensure better results for this term’s remainder.

MI IPL 2026 Results So Far and Upcoming Schedule

MI’s horrendous run of form continues with another defeat on April 29, 2026. The franchise must seek a rapid turn of results if they are to salvage any positives from this current campaign.
