A robotic dog (Robo dog) is making its debut across IPL 2025 games. The dog’s introduction continues to attract attention from fans, analysts, and players. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni fed his curiosity about this robotic dog during a recent game vs the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
Dhoni proceeded to gently lift the Robo dog before placing it on its side to prevent further movement. Fans also noticed Dhoni with the dog after the game. The skipper placed the dog outside the boundary area to signal his intentions to keep the robotic video assistant away from harm.
Dhoni Pranks Rishabh Pant with Shoulder Jab in Wholesome Moment at CSK vs LSG
Cricket fans regard Rishabh Pant as MS Dhoni’s natural successor in India’s wicketkeeping-batting department. Dhoni was all smiles as he met with Pant during the toss at Ekana Cricket Stadium.
He ensured a memorable moment by bumping into Rishabh’s shoulder, an action fans found hilarious. Both players laughed it off as a testament to their mutual respect in the league.
Why Has MS Dhoni Returned as CSK Captain after Stepping Down in IPL 2024?
Dhoni assumed CSK’s captaincy for yet another game to increase his tally of matches as a skipper in IPL history. The veteran took up this role to over for injured full-time skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad. Dhoni is set to lead CSK for the remainder of IPL 2025 after it was confirmed that Gaikwad will play no further part in this season’s campaign.
Fans were happy to see Dhoni take up on-field leadership duties again; however, the encounter didn’t produce a favourable result for CSK. The Chennai-based side succumbed to an 8-wicket loss that included a rapid-fire batting collapse and meagre tally accumulation (103/9) in 20 overs.
