The RCB’s strongest playing XI has received reinforcements after six (6) new players arrived at auction. New arrivals coupled with experienced stars could be the perfect formula RCB needs to win their first IPL title in 16 years.

Fans will hope Virat Kohli and co. will finally get it right to secure an IPL trophy. After reaching the playoffs and final on multiple occasions, 2024 could be a make-or-break season for this franchise.

Let’s take a look at the strongest playing XI for RCB at IPL 2024 and what each player brings to the side towards another campaign.

RCB’s Strongest Playing XI

Faf du Plessis (c)

du Plessis led RCB at IPL 2023 and the season before that and could do the same in 2024. He is expected to offer much more in the new season as RCB continues their search for a first IPL title. All eyes will be on du Plessis and co. throughout 2024 to see their reaction to other co-IPL starting franchises (Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings) snatching five titles each.

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli has led the line for RCB across many seasons and continues for his first and only IPL franchise till date. The skilled right-handed batsman has had some impressive records under his belt since playing for RCB and would love to cap it all off with a title. He is the leading IPL runs scorer in history and has more centuries (currently at 7) than any other cricketer in India’s premier cricket competition.

Rajat Patidar

Patidar did not feature for RCB throughout IPL 2023 due to injury and is expected back in the new season. The talented cricketer will team up with Kohli and other batters to deliver impressive results for RCB next term.

Cameron Green

Aussie all-rounder Green switched to RCB after a ₹ 17.5 crore deal with the Mumbai Indians. The skilled 24-year-old will be an exciting addition to RCB and offers impressive performances in different departments.

Glenn Maxwell

Maxwell is the second Aussie all-rounder in RCB and has played three seasons with this franchise. His stellar performances has earned him a starting place, and fans will hope he delivers more great gameplay in 2024.

Dinesh Karthik (w-k)

Karthik blew hot in IPL 2022 but has gone cold ever since. The experienced cricketer will likely be on RCB’s starting XI as he brings an imposing presence and maturity to their overall gameplay.

Mayank Dagar

Dagar signed for RCB after a trade deal with the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise. The skilled spin bowler and all-rounder will seek to repay faith reposed in him by SRH management at IPL 2024.

Alzarri Joseph

Joseph got on RCB’s books after a ₹ 11.5 crore deal went through at the last IPL auction. He will bowl for du Plessis’ side next season and walks straight in the lineup with a wicked swing arm.

Mohammed Siraj

RCB has had faith in RCB since 2018, and the skilled cricketer has not disappointed. Siraj has 68 wickets from 73 IPL games and looks set to lead RCB’s strongest starting XI from the bowling line.

Yash Dayal

Gujarat Titans (GT) released Dayal and he signed for RCB after a ₹ 5 crore deal. He is RCB’s third pace bowler ahead of IPL 2024.

Vijaykumar Vyshak

Vyshak got nine wickets after seven IPL games for RCB last season. The 26-year-old pacer looks set to feature in RCB’s strongest starting XI for IPL 2024.
