Will Babar Azam Regain Top International Form After PSL 11 Outing?

Pakistan batsman Babar Azam has had to endure a turbulent period in his international career in the last half-decade. The ex-national team captain failed to deliver as expected at international level across formats in a spell that prompted his removal from on-pitch leadership. However, Azam’s batting story at national team level may not be over yet.

The star cricketer registered a high batting total for the Peshawar Zalmi (PZM) franchise during a high-stakes Pakistan Super League (PSL) season. Azam was a major part of the squad’s successful PSL 2026 campaign and delivered improved batting prowess against teams throughout PZM’s run to another title.

Babar Azam PSL 2026 Innings

Azam put together an impressive string of performances at the PSL 2026. His remarkable run included two centuries and three half-centuries in 11 games. The star cricketer maintained this fine form for most games at PSL 2026 before recording no runs at the final.

Azam fired home sixty 4s and fifteen 6s in an impressive campaign that reinserts him into conversations about top Men in Green batsmen.

How Babar Azam’s PSL 2026 Form Compares to International Appearances

Azam’s PSL 2026 form eclipses his output in recent international appearances for Pakistan. His contribution to the national team’s run-scoring potential has been tame in recent games, particularly in red-ball cricket.

Analysts hope Azam rediscovers his international form after an above-par PSL 11 outing for PZM. His exploits at franchise level could boost Azam’s approach to Pakistan’s packed limited-overs calendar, as the Green Shirts plot a successful campaign at regional and international competitions.
